The Internet for musicians!
Our favorite musician/computer geek, Mark Thompson, A.K.A AnalogX stopped by to show us how the Internet has created opportunities for the aspiring musician that never before exisited. You can publish your music and make it available to millions of Internet users at sites such as MP3.com

Not only can you publish your music, you can create CDs to sell to your fans as well as track how many downloads of your songs has occured.

To see how it works, check out the AnalogX section at MP3.com!

If you buy used music equipment online or at retail stores, how do you know if the asking price is reasonable? Why guess when you can use Mark's web site PrePal.com which scours the Internet to compile what the average price for most popular equipment is selling for!

Wireless MP3 for home and car!
One of the newest MP3 devices that we fell in love with at this year's Consumer Electronics Show is from Rockford Fosgate and it's called Omnifi

Not only does it give you wireless access to all your MP3 files in the home (up to 20 different locations!), but it will automatically syncronize all of your music with a special 20Gb hard drive in the trunk of your car every time you park in the driveway!

See all of the actual components used in the system here!

Create a real coffee table picture book with iPhoto!
If you want to create a professionally bound and printed picture book with your own images, text and titles then you need to check out the "Super Geek Tip of the Week"!

The Computer Kitchen!
We went to the Arizona Culinary Institute to have them help us show you our analogy of the computer kitchen (must see video!).

The three main components of a computer are the processor, RAM and the hard drive.

In the computer kitchen, the processor is the chef, the RAM is a mixing bowl and the hard drive is like refrigerator.

A fast chef (processor) does very little good with a small mixing bowl (RAM) and a small refrigerator (hard drive). If you are in the market for a new compouter, a medium speed processor with a large mixing bowl and a large refrigerator will generally give you the most bang for the buck. Don't buy computers based on the speed of the chef (processor) alone!
